About FXCorridor
FXCorridor is an independent, ad-supported reference site for currency conversion and international money transfers. We publish a free in-browser converter and pages for the world's busiest remittance corridors, all built on mid-market exchange rates derived from European Central Bank data. We are not a bank, broker or money-transfer service and we do not handle anyone's money — we help people understand the real cost of sending it.
What we do
We turn open exchange-rate data into fast, genuinely-useful tools: a multi-currency converter, per-pair conversion pages, recent-trend snapshots, and clear explanations of the exchange-rate margin that makes transfers cost more than they appear. Every figure is dated and attributed to its source.
Why mid-market rates
The mid-market (interbank) rate is the midpoint between the buy and sell prices on the wholesale currency market. It is the single fairest number to quote because no retail margin is baked in. We always remind readers that the rate a provider actually gives them will be a little worse.
How we make money
FXCorridor is free to use. We plan to fund the site with non-intrusive display advertising and, in future, clearly-labelled affiliate links to money-transfer providers. Affiliate relationships never change the rates we show, which always come from the same neutral source.
